Bihor Peak is the highest peak of the Apuseni Mountains, offering wonderful views of the Aries Valley, Tara Crisurilor and Retazat Mountains.
You can arrive here from the Ariesului Valley, near Arieseni or from the Gaina Mountain (but only if you know the road).
We will go up a forest road throught the coniferous forests till the alpine meadows.
In June the road can still be blocked by the snow (I remember that once I’ve seen somebody who came from 100km away just for skiing on a small area of snow).
The view from Bihor Peak is magnificent. There are no other mountains till the Fagaras in the south and towards Hungary nothing blocks the view.
